In 2019, I wrote two posts that were eight months apart. Here’s the third. It’s been three months since the one before this.

So I don’t think I have to tell you all that this year was… a lot.

Some of this I touched on in the post before this, but I wanted to do a full-on My Life on 2019 post, so here we are.

In no particular order and arbitrarily grouped:

I hurt myself. I got really sick. I got better.

I published a book collection. I didn’t publish the second in my sci-fi series, nor the prequel to Rescued. I did give my newsletter subscribers a free holiday book, though, which was part of a multi-author set that donated profits to a great cause.

I got divorced. I moved in with my best friend. She turned into my girlfriend, and that’s been amazing.

Both my kids are homeschooled now.

I changed my reading goal for 2019 from 50 to 40 books. I’m still behind, but that’s okay. I’m good at catching up.

I attended my first convention as a vendor and did really well. I’m planning more in the future – more cons, more costumes, more books sold, more free gifts given away. More of it all.

What, you don’t cosplay when you sell books at a con? Well, we did. This was day one. I was Dean Winchester, she (author Emily Selleck) was the angel, Castiel, and it was awesome. #SupernaturalFans

I went to Austin and saw one of my idols up close. I learned my favorite show is in its final season. I got a backpack that was game-changing.

I got more in touch with my spirituality, and while it’s been hard, it’s been an epic adventure.

I won, I lost, I broke even. I had great times, terrible ones, and after all of it, I think I’m going to be okay.

But, still… 2020, you owe me a good one.

And that leads me to my last announcement:

This may be my last blog post on this website.

I’m not 100% sure this is what I want to do, but I know I can’t keep up with this right now. This being only my third post of 2019 proves it.

Maybe one day I’ll start again, but you can all consider this a notice that this blog is on hiatus indefinitely.

If you want to keep hearing from me more than a couple of times a year, you should definitely check out the end of this post, click the link, and get on my mailing list.

That’s all for now. Thanks for reading.
