Spew [Free Short Fiction]

Some days, the endless stream of division, greed, hate, and suffering manage to overtake me, and become all that I can think about. This piece – which is part fiction, part “reality” – is a product of the sludge filling my brain (and the internet) after the events of late.

Feel free to skip it if you’re tired of thinking/hearing about politics.

Today’s free short fiction story comes from my effort to write a Story a Day every (week)day in May. I’m not posting all of them, only those I think will be great for blog readers, like this one. They will be tagged [Free Short Fiction] for easier searching. Continue reading “Spew [Free Short Fiction]”

Anatomy of a Dream [Free Short Fiction]

Today I wanted to do something a little different. Instead of dealing with Eager Observer as I have a few other times, I thought it would be fun to write a story about someone telling a loved one about a dream they had.

I’m trying to write a Story a Day every (week)day this month. I won’t be posting all of them, only those I think will be great for my blog followers. The stories will all be tagged [Free Short Fiction] for easier browsing. Continue reading “Anatomy of a Dream [Free Short Fiction]”

Tarnishings [Free Short Fiction]

I’m gearing up to start work on the next (and probably final) installment of my Deviant Behaviors series, Eager Observer, by writing some short fiction dealing with the characters involved.

Today’s short fiction piece introduces another new character, the love interest of one readers of the series already know.

This post comes from my effort to write a Story a Day every (week)day in May. I’m not posting all of them, only those I think will be great for my readers. They will all be tagged [Free Short Fiction] for easier browsing. Continue reading “Tarnishings [Free Short Fiction]”

The ABCs of Life and Death [Free Short Fiction]

I’m gearing up to start work on the next (and probably final) installment of my Deviant Behaviors series, Eager Observer, by writing some free short fiction dealing with the characters involved.

Today’s short story introduces a never-before-seen character, Millie, who writes a blog about her strange and varied tastes.

This post comes from my effort to write a Story a Day every (week)day in May. I’m not posting all of them, only those I think will be great for my blog followers. They will all be tagged [Free Short Fiction] for easier searching. Continue reading “The ABCs of Life and Death [Free Short Fiction]”

Singing the Blues [Free Short Fiction]

I’m gearing up to start work on the next (and probably final) installment of my Deviant Behaviors series, Eager Observer, by writing some short fiction dealing with the characters involved.

My goal is to write a piece of short fiction for Story a Day every (week)day in May. I’m not posting all of them, only those I think will be great for my blog readers. They will all be tagged [Free Short Fiction] for easier browsing. Continue reading “Singing the Blues [Free Short Fiction]”

Words and Law [Free Short Fiction]

In the past days, I’ve been thinking a lot about my Deviant Behaviors series as I’m getting myself pumped up to write the third (and maybe final) book, Eager Observer, in the coming months. My goal is to know these characters better by the time I get started, so it was only natural that I start focusing on their lives leading up to the events in the series.

This post is part of a series in which I attempt to write a free short fiction piece for Story a Day every (week)day in May. I’m not posting all of them, only those I think will be great for blog readers. They will all be tagged [Free Short Fiction] for easier browsing. Closed Roads, Open Doors [Free Short Fiction]

Since there really is no time like the present, I wanted to get started on my newest challenge while it was fresh in my mind.

This post comes from my effort to write a Story a Day every (week)day in May. I’m not posting all of them, only those I think will be great for blog readers. They will all be tagged [Free Short Fiction] for easier browsing. Continue reading “Closed Roads, Open Doors [Free Short Fiction]”
