If you’re a writer, you’ve probably heard of Libbie Hawker. She’s one of those funny and smart writers whose name sticks in your head because of the crazy things she says and her lively attitude. And, of course, the crazy title of her other writing book. (It’s called Take Off Your Pants!, and it’s on my Want to Read list.)
Knowing all that, and after hearing her several times on different writing podcasts, I knew I had to give this short book a read.
Book Description
Blurbs, product descriptions, query letters… no matter what you call them, they’re a chore to write. And yet the success of any novel can depend on its pitch. What’s an author to do?
In this short, instructive ebook, Libbie Hawker takes the pain out of pitch-writing and shares the secrets of a perfect fiction pitch. Whether you’re an indie writer seeking to improve sales of your self-published novels or an author hoping to hook your dream agent with a can’t-resist query letter, GOTTA READ IT! Is the ebook for you.
Learn which features signify great story to the subconscious mind, how to sort through the details of your plot to find the core of your novel, and how to write pitches for books with one, two, or many primary characters… all in five simple steps!
My Rating
This book gives you exactly what it tells you you’re going to get; no more, no less. It isn’t full of exposition and explanation any more than it needs to be. It’s the five step process Libbie Hawker uses and teaches on how to write that back cover copy or Amazon description used to sell books.
I give it four of five stars for being an educational book that I’m going to use the next time I write a book blurb for my own fiction. Recommended for authors at every skill level.

Sounds useful! But am I being dense? I can’t see how to buy it from your site without going through Amazon. Halps me, Obi-Wan Ramie! 😦

I have to admit, Spaceman, that I’ve been lazy. The last few book reviews I’ve done have been missing other book-buying links. I’ll get that fixed ASAP.
