I love stories. I read every single day, and between blog posts, ebooks, and physical books, there’s always something for me to get lost in.

I tried to do my favorite short story every week, but I realized recently that I was putting too much of my time and energy into blogging, and it was taking away from my main purpose: writing books.

5 Stories I Loved This Month

As a part of my new blogging schedule, here’s something you will see once in a while. It’s a list of the top five stories I read this month, and I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did!

1. A Mother’s Choice

This is the story of a woman’s choice to try to skew the future society has already laid out for her child. It made me think of the labels we put on one another, and how they are often not nearly as important as we make them out to be.

2. A Wild Unicorn Appears!

In this flash fiction story, an ordinary person crosses a line into the fantastic.

3. Pride Cometh Before The Fall

The difference between good and evil is explored in one little girl’s worst day.

4. We Never Heard Them Coming

Three children learn what happens when they don’t use caution in this speculative story about life, death, and what happens in between.

5. When They Called Her Home

An assassin is forced to reckon with her crimes with a succession of threes in this short fiction tale.

All of these stories have a unique perspective on good and evil, life and death, and each of them is singularly enjoyable. Try one or all and let me know how you liked them in the comments!
